Regulation 14 Consultation
We have reached the milestone of our Regulation 14 Consultation. This key step means we have produced a full draft plan.
The consultation runs from Monday 21st May to Monday 2nd July. The draft plan is big (100 pages, with over 50 supporting documents) so we have delivered a summary to all homes in Knutsford. You can download a copy of the plan and see all the documents in our Core Documents Library.
Attend a themed event at the Methodist Church (Princess Street) between 7pm an 9pm where we’ll examin different elements of the plan:
30th May – Supporting Infrastructure (Transport, Sports and Leisure, Health, Education and Community)
6th June – Creating Places (Design, Heritage, Environment and Town Centre)
14th June – Meeting Local Need (Housing and Employment)
We are hosting three drop-ins where you can speak with councillors and volunteers who have been working on the Neighbourhood Plan:
28th May – Lion’s Street Fayre 11am to 4pm
19th June – Welcome Cafe 3pm to 6pm
21st June – Methodist Church 3pm to 6pm
Story so far
The Neighbourhood Plan started slowly in 2014 with a public meeting about the idea. A committee was established which comprises town councillors and representatives from the community. In 2016 we undertook a public survey to get thoughts on what the Neighbourhood Plan should cover and to direct us in writing policies. We have been collecting evidence and researching various parts of the plan and in November 2017 we consulted on our emerging policy ideas. We have now prepared a draft plan and we want your views on it.
